GUIDED TOURS OF THE SCULPTURE PARK

every 4th Saturday of the month @2 p.m.

Admission sculpture park: 12 € / Guided tour: 5 €

For all residents of Schwante, as well as residents of Oberkrämer, access to the park is free of charge. Likewise for children up to 16 years.

Rendezvous in the garden 

Opening weekend, June 3 & 4, 2023, each starting at 11 a.m. 

Climate change also poses new challenges to gardeners’ souls and their green oases. They are becoming the hope for urban havens that make places more livable and are developing new perspectives in the art of gardening and park maintenance. Share with us your secrets and deeds, created by green thumbs for a more sustainable world.

BRANDENBURGER LANDPARTIE

Saturday and Sunday, June 10 and 11 @ 11 -18 o’clock

Find out about old apple varieties such as Goldparmäne, Parkers Pepping or Roter Boskoop or our Wagyu cattle, which are carefully raised and graze on pasture near the castle, as part of the Brandenburg Landpartie at Schlossgut Schwante.

MEDITATION BETWEEN ART AND NATURE

Sunday, 18 June, 2 July, 3 and 17 September @ 10 a.m.

Find your peace in the contemplative surroundings of the landscape garden at Schlossgut Schwante. Amidst meditative art and under the guidance of Loretta Würtenberger, bring inner and outer as well as effect and cause into balance here. 

Admission is free. Please bring a yoga mat or a comparable surface. For those who wish to sit on a chair: Chairs are available on site. Meet at the entrance to the sculpture park.

Guided tour of the sculpture park with Marcus Boxler

Saturday, June 10 and September 30, 2023 @ 2:00 p.m. 

Admission Sculpture Park: 12 € / Guided tour: 5 €

Since the opening of the Sculpture Park, art journalist and curator Marcus Boxler has also been part of the team at Schlossgut Schwante. In the 2023 season and the associated George Rickey exhibition, he will once again give one of his highly praised guided tours.

Reading Tour with Anne Seubert

Saturday, June 17 and September 9, 2023 @ 2:00 p.m.

Admission sculpture park: 12 € / Guided tour: 5 €

Anne Seubert was the first poet in residence. The texts written during her stay at Schlossgut Schwante will be installed on Brandenburg boulders as part of the permanent exhibition in 2023. But Anne Seubert’s words will not only remain as a physical part of the sculpture park. The artist, author, photographer and poet, will guide visitors through the exhibition for the first time in June in a wall reading: a unique result.

We celebrate with residents from Schwante and friends of Schlossgut Schwante a rural festival with live music, barbecue & many drinks!

Tango Café

Sunday, July 2, 2023 @ 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

We are very excited to open the tango season this year with Classical Tango and Tango Specials. An 80sqm dance floor will be available. Tango DJ Jörg Buntenbach will provide the best music on a beautiful summer day.

Guided Tour for children in the sculpture park with Jeannette Bonefeld

Saturday, July 8 and 29, September 2 and 16, 2023 @ 2 p.m.

Art is known to be open to everyone – big or small. However, the children’s tours in the Sculpture Park clearly focus on the “little ones”. That’s why this year, art historian and educator Jeannette Bonefeld once again invites you to join her for a children’s tour. A guided tour through the landscape garden and its art – completely adapted for children and young people.

Artist workshop for children
aluminum sculptures

Sunday, September 17, 2023 @ 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Toshihiko Mitsuya has been making figures out of aluminum foil since he was seven years old. In this workshop, he shares his knowledge with children ages 5-12 and encourages them to make their own toys from simple kitchen aluminum foil. Parents and older siblings are invited to join in. For children up to about 7 years of age, adult accompaniment is desired. 

Contribution towards expenses: 20,00 EUR
